Japanese Bookbinding workshop

There's this moment, maybe 40 minutes in, when everything clicks. The stitch makes sense, the pages line up, and suddenly you're not following instructions anymore. You're just doing it. That moment is why I run this workshop. It just feels right.

Japanese bookbinding is weirdly addictive. Fair warning, you might come for one journal and end up making three. It happens. I've been there.

It's not your typical painting workshop. Honestly, how many people do you know who can make their own notebook? And after this workshop, you can make one in 10 minutes. Crazy, right?

We'll walk you through the whole thing, step by step, in my studio in Žižkov. Small group, good music. No rush.

What we'll do

• Pick your papers, covers and threads
• Learn the Japanese stitch from scratch
• Bind your journals (one, two, or five, you decide)
• Leave knowing exactly how to do it again at home
